Rajan is an Australian/British freelance producer and co-founder of HELM Studio. Based in India, he balances his world between human rights and new media journalism.


Rajan is a multimedia producer who works across media forms, including photography, audio, video, 360-degree production, VR (virtual reality), and web development. A Tow-Knight Fellow, he has worked as a media producer with organisations including the Daily 360° at the New York Times, Vice, National Geographic, MSNBC, and the Guardian. He has documented human rights violations in Bosnia, Egypt, Nepal, Peru, India, the UK and US to provoke change.


Attendee of the 2018 THREAD course at Yale and winner of the 2017 The Knight-VICE Innovators Fund, Rajan was also an attendee of the 2017 Entrepreneurial Journalism course at the Tow-Knight Center CUNY School of Journalism. Also the winner of the Guardian Student Photographer of the Year, and shortlisted for Magnum’s Ideas Tap Photography Competition and the Royal Photographic Society Joan Wakelin Bursary. Rajan has exhibited in Foto8 and Candid Arts in London and in a collective exhibition at Third Floor Gallery and Jacobs Market in Cardiff.
